Sea World Not Raising Prices

As of today Sea World has decided not to match Disney World and Universal Studios price increase to $71.00. An adult one day ticket at Sea World still cost $64.95 and a child's one day ticket is $53.95.

Sea World has mentioned that they have been busier than every this year. Could this have to do with the fact that they have 100% amped up their costumer service and that they have done major overhauls to the whale and dolphin shows and that they are not raising their prices?

Universal Studios Matches Disney's Price Raise

As mentioned a few weeks ago Disney raised their one day park ticket to $71.00 looks like Universal Studios followed in their footsteps. A one day park ticket will cost an adult $71.00 and a child $60.00. But if you buy tickets online you can still get them for the old price, $67.00 for an adult and $56.00 for a child.

Epcot's Fountainview Cafe

If you are headed to Disney World sometime soon you should know some big changes have been made to Epcot's Fountainview Cafe. It's been turned into an Ice Cream Parlor, which I think is an amazing idea. Who wouldn't want to eat some cold ice cream in a air conditioned building
after walking around in the hot Orlando sun for most of the day.

The Parlor will be opened from 2:00 pm until the park closes this week and next week it will start opening at noon and close when the park does. The menu is very basic at the moment offering hand scooped ice cream, shakes, waffle cones, sundaes and floats, due to the fact that
Disney wants to do a 3 month test run to see if guests take to it. More choices should be added if the parlor is a success. So stopped by and see if you like the ice cream parlor better than the Fountainview Cafe.

Toy Story Mania

As promised from yesterday, I'm going to be writing about the new attractions and experiences the new Disney Hollywood Studios will have. First off is Toy Story Mania. This ride is going to be unlike another other, it's actually going to be an interactive competition hosted by our favorite characters of Toy Story. Guests will grab 3-D glasses and board the ride and enter the world of Andy's Toy Box and as soon as you have entered there that's when all the fun starts. Basically you see who can get the most points by using spring action shooters, throwing darts at balloons, throwing rings to aliens and throwing eggs at different barnyard targets. This interactive ride is set to open summer of 2008.

Stay tunned for more new attractions in the coming days.

MGM Studios Getting A Name Change

Ironically, I just wrote about this a month or so ago and The Walt Disney World Company stated that MGM Studios would be keeping their name, now it seems they have changed their mind and are indeed renaming the park. MGM Studios will now be called Disney's Hollywood Studios, the name change will become effective January 2008. Along with this name change there will be several new attractions for all us guests to enjoy. Which I will go into further detail in the days to come. So stay tunned.

Year Of A Million Dreams Extended

Walt Disney World has decided to extend their "Year Of A Million Dreams" celebration to the end of 2008. Disney says they have had such great success with this celebration it has boosted the number of guests coming to the park. Dreams are awarded randomly to guests everyday by castmemebers. Dreams can be something as small as a Fastpass, to riding on a float in a parade and the grand price spending the night in Cinderella's Castle. They also said that more dreams will be added in 2008, so stay tunned.

Disney Raises Prices

Unfortunately, Walt Disney World has raised their ticket prices. A one day ticket will not cost $71.00 for adults $60.00 for children under 10 and of course children under 3 are still free. Disney claims the raise in price is due to annual planning cycle of travel wholesalers, tour organizers and commercial publications. This will be the third time Disney had raised their prices in two years. Universal Studios and Sea World have yet to raise their prices but I'm sure they will follow in Disney's footsteps, they always do.

Discovery Cove Discounts

Discovery Cove is currently offering 10% off per reservation when you book at least 60 days before your visit. I know 10% doesn't seem like a lot but every little bit helps. If you want to swim with a dolphin it costs $279 per person March 12- November 11 and $179 per person if you do not want to swim with a dolphin. If you visit November 12-December 31 it costs $259 to swim with a dolphin and $159 if you don't want to.

The California Grill

The California Grill restaurant is located at Disney's Contemporary Resort. It is a fairly expensive restaurant, but I have heard the food is terrific. It is highly recommended to make reservations before you head down to Orlando for your vacation, especially if you want to eat during fireworks hours. But the restaurant is included in Disney's Dinning plan so you get a little bit of a discount there. I would say the best part about this particular restaurant is they dim the lights and play the music to the fireworks that are being set off at Magic Kingdom. So you get a dinner and a show.
